Area Kids Learn About Electric Safety

At Citizens Electric, we strive to educate our members about the importance of electric safety.

Childrens' Safety Day offers the opportunity for area 3rd and 4th graders to learn how electricity is distributed to their homes, about the tools and equipment that linemen use and the hazards of playing near electric lines.

All area grade schools are invited to attend the events held at Citizens' Service Departments in Ste. Genevieve, Perryville and Altenburg. The kids especially enjoy the tabletop electric demonstrations, bucket truck rides and watching linemen put on their gear and climb poles.

This two-hour program has proven to be memorable for both teachers and students.
