Audits

CEC has contracted with ASERusa, a company that specializes in residential and commercial building energy verification and rating services. ASERusa will conduct energy audits for qualifying CEC members at a reduced cost of $200 which is payable in advance of the audit. This cost is limited to buildings with 3,000 square feet or less. Additional square footage will be billed at $.10 per square foot.

The reduced rate audits are limited to CEC members who have electric heat or electric water heating.

The technician will use a blower door, infrared camera and other diagnostic tools to identify sources of energy waste. Following the audit, a written report is provided to the member indicating areas of the structure and equipment that could be improved to increase efficiency.

CEC will reimburse the participating member up to $200 for products purchased after the audit that were recommended in the written energy analysis. Product receipts must accompany the request for reimbursement. For additional information, email or call Member Services at (573) 883-5339.

Rebates

CEC will rebate $150 per ton for new geothermal systems and $125 per ton for new high efficiency air-source systems purchased and installed in 2011. New construction and existing homes converting from less efficient electric resistance or electric furnace systems are eligible.

CEC will also rebate $50 on a new ENERGY STAR® rated clothes washer purchased in 2011 if you have an electric water heater.
